It’s Halloween! I used to love this time of year so much when I was younger. We would go to my dads every year and pick some pumpkins and create some crazy designs. I wish we did Halloween in the UK like they do in the US they go all out for it don’t they? I haven’t actually done any Halloween posts on my blog during October which I am pretty gutted about. Unfortunately I had a bit of writers block I guess you could say. However, I thought why not do the Halloween Tag?! So here I am doing the Halloween Tag on Halloween.
What’s your first memory of Halloween?
My first memory of Halloween would have to be the parties my dad and stepmom would organise with my auntie’s. Each year we would have a huge Halloween party with all the family and loads of friends. We would be split into teams and have loads of games/challenges and food. They used to go ALL OUT with the decorations as we had the party on my auntie’s farm. It was always so exciting and something I used to look forward to so much.
What’s your favourite horror movie?
I don’t think I have a favourite horror movie come to think of it. I always end up watching the new horror films in the cinema even though they scare the crap out of me. However, I did think the Conjuring films were pretty good because they really did scare me! I remember saying after watching the first one in the cinema that I would never go and watch another horror at the cinema again (i still went and watched the second one though obvs).
Have you ever played with a Ouija board?
No, no and NO and I never will. I’m not someone that has a huge opinion on all that kind of stuff but I will never go tempting fate or playing around with things like that just in case it is all a thing! Plus I would die inside if something actually happened while I was playing with one.
Have you ever played Bloody Mary?
I feel like we all have haven’t we?! I remember playing Bloody Mary in primary school in the girls toilets haha. Me and my friends were all so scared thinking something was going to happen. Nothing ever did but we all egged each other on and had a go ourselves. I am sure it was the same thing with the boogey man am I right? I think we tried that one as well.
What is your favourite thing about this time of year?
My favourite thing about this time of year would have to be the fact it’s getting closer to Christmas (typical answer I know). Also that Starbucks and Costa bring out all of my favourite drinks! The gingerbread spiced latte is my FAVE! My other favourite thing would have to be all the new Halloween films coming out even though they scare me, I’ll still be there at the cinema ready to watch them!
If you got trapped in one scary movie, which one would it be?
I wouldn’t want to be trapped inside any scary movie. However, if I had to pick I would just say the one of the scary movie films. Maybe the one where they go to that house and the butler is there with the little hand. Purely because some bits make me laugh so much so I would like to think I could just be trapped and laugh at what’s going on (if that would be allowed).
If you were dared to spend the night in a haunted house, would you do it?
HELL NO! Even if nothing happened I would just be so so scared. I would literally be sat in the corner covering my eyes waiting for the slightest noise or shadow. I wish I could sit here and be like “yeah no problem, easy peasy”, but honestly no I could not do it! Especially not if I was on my own.
Would you ever go to a graveyard at night?
This is a funny one because there’s actually a church opposite my flat and I can see the graveyard from my lounge window. I thought I would be a little bit bothered by it when I first moved in but it hasn’t fazed me. However, with that being said I don’t think I would take a trip over there at night. Again, I am just too much of a wuss.
How old were you when you saw your first scary movie?
I can’t remember how old I was but I remember where I was and what it was. It was Jeepers Creepers and I remember finding it on video at my moms house (remember those things? videos), it really must have been years a go. My god I’m sure I was fairly young because it really did scare me.
Vampires or Zombies? If you had to be one which would it be?
Errrrrrm. I’m not sure maybe a Vampire? I feel like I could get away with being a Vampire more than a Zombie. Plus Zombies can’t talk can they? So I would have to go with a Vampire.
Who is your favourite Halloween movie director?
Honestly? I am awful with directors and actors and any of that business. However, some of the Halloween films that I thought were pretty good are the Conjuring films and drag me to hell. I recently went to see the new Halloween film, I thought that it was very jumpy but it was a good film.
I really enjoyed this tag and thought it would be very fitting with it being Halloween today! This was inspired by Leighanne Sheila and you can check out her answers to this tag here. I hope you all have a spooky Halloween and watch lots of scary films and eat loads of sweets. Happy Halloween everyone!
