I GOT MY HANDS ON THE JAMES CHARLES PALETTE!

I can’t tell you how happy I was to FINALLY be able to buy some new makeup. It honestly feels like forever since I had any new products to play with. If I am being honest I didn’t intend to buy any new makeup. However, before you know it I was in the Morphe shop after work having a mooch around all the brushes and palettes. I was definitely in my element… although what makeup obsessed girl wouldn’t be!

MORPHE BITS…

I am so happy that we finally have a Morphe store in Birmingham now. Did anyone else see the estimated 8 thousand people that all flooded into the Bullring when James Charles attended the grand opening of the store? It was CRAZY! With that being said I finally managed to get my hands on his palette (it’s only taken me over 2 months to get it haha).

This palette is hands down THE BEST palette I own. Honestly I just absolutely love it, I mean look at how bright the colours are! I am so excited to make a proper start on using it, I was saving myself until after I had taken the photos. I have had a little play with it and so far I am super happy with the formula and the pigment of the shadows. They are so easy to blend as well which is a bonus. I mean who has got time to sit there blending for ages? Not me! I am definitely going to be doing some creative, colourful looks with this little beauty which you will see very soon.

Now of course I couldn’t just leave the Morphe store with just the palette, that wouldn’t be right would it? I’m sure my bank account would disagree but heyho. I also decided to pick up one of the lip glosses. This is also one of James’ favourites if I remember rightly. It’s in the shade “flower crown”, it’s a peachy kind of cream colour and I love it. The Morphe glosses aren’t sticky either and last ages. What makes it even better is it was only £9! I think that’s such a good price for a gloss as good as this one.

I also picked up one of the lip liners to go with the gloss. It’s in the shade “backseat love”. I would describe this shade as one that’s to me is very similar to Velvet Teddy by Mac. Such an oldie but a goodie! I have been loving using this liner all over my lips and then topping it with the gloss. For a liner that’s only £4.50 they are so creamy and pigmented for a lip liner. I must say I won’t be buying any other liners other than the Morphe ones going forward.

I don’t think anyone could go into Morphe and pick up a makeup brush. Especially not when they are as well priced as they are in there. I decided on the M578 round pencil crease brush this time. It was only £4.50, this is one of the those brushes that I have always needed but never had. A brush perfect to define the crease with a pop of colour after the transition shade.

KAT VON D…

Aside from the few bits I picked up from Morphe I also quickly popped into Debenhams to pick up one of my favourite products EVER. The Kat Von D Lock-it Foundation*, I won’t go into detail about this one but you can go and check out my thought over on this post.

I think that has helped settle my makeup buying addiction for a while, I am super excited to see what looks I can create with the palette! Let me know if there’s any looks in particular that you would like me to try and I will give them a go!
