Hello, hello! Now this post is super exciting, I can’t quite believe that I am even sat here writing it. Yes, that’s correct I was invited to the worlds biggest Primark for their press event. How bloomin’ crazy is that!
A lot went on during the evening. I know how many of you are Primark lovers like me so of course I had to share it with you all and give you the lowdown on what the deal is with this new store.
So firstly, yes! The new store is in Birmingham City Centre which means trips to Primark on my lunch break will be happening a lot!
The lovely people at Catalyst PR invited me to the event and try out the new Duck and Dry Xpress salon that they have in store. Duck and Dry is a leading salon in London that have teamed up with Primark to bring all your pampering needs into store.
You can get some cute braids, a bouncy blowdry-dry, even a dry cut. They also have a nail station to get your mani/pedi’s in check, a brow section to get your brows back on fleek and even a little makeup area! The salon is so spacious and looks amazing.
I decided to go for two cute French braids. This was to help me along my journey with putting a stop to washing my hair every day which was proving very difficult.
The people in the salon were so welcoming, very efficient and professional. The services they offer are amazing and I think the prices are super affordable.
& THE REST
After taking lots of cute pictures and having a cheeky glass of Prosecco we headed off to explore the rest of the store.
Now this store consists of 5 floors! It includes the salon, a barbers, a food court and the amazing DISNEY CAFE! The store feels so much fresher and current compared to the old store. There’s tons of space, even chill out areas throughout the store.
Obviously I had to get a picture with Mickie and Minnie – childhood memories right there!
The tills opened up for roughly 30 minutes. It turned into an episode of supermarket sweep REAL QUICK! Chloe was rushing around the shop getting slightly over excited, I was dashing towards the homeware section (WHICH IS UNREAL BTW PEOPLE).
We all ended up picking up a few really lovely bits. I picked up some white bedding. I’ve been wanting some for the longest time… flatly benefits and the cute photos etc in mind. Not to mention a cute plant pot which was only £5 + a few other bits and bobs.
I will make sure to post a picture over on my Instagram of the bits that I picked up so be sure to keep an eye out for that over on the gram! Overall, the store was more than I imagined it would be! Since the event I have been back about 3 times and it’s been unbelievably busy!
I will be doing a little Primark Haul soon. As I spent some coin in the store when I took my little sister on a shopping trip! It was all worth it though and I did get some really cool pieces.
I want to say a massive thank you to the lovely team at Catalyst PR for giving me such a crazy opportunity. Honestly? I feel so chuffed to be able to say that I attended this event. All because of this little blog/Instagram *a little pause for a proud smile*.
I would love to know what your favourite section in Primark is and why? Mine would have to be the homeware section purely because of the choice and how affordable the items are. You really can’t go wrong with a pack of Vanilla tea lights for £1! Or a Vanilla Reed Diffuser for £1! Yes Vanilla is my thanggg!
Make sure you let me know in the comments, tweet or DM me! I want to know, which section you head for first when going to Primark? Also if any of you will be travelling to visit the new Birmingham store?
*this post involves a gifted experience, although I was not obligated to write this post I wanted to share my experience with you all – all opinions are my own*
