Let’s take it back a few months.

Thinking back to the 24th May, the day I packed up everything and moved out away from home into my little flat. It feels like it was only last week! When I moved into my flat I couldn’t afford to buy all new furniture. However, I was lucky enough to be able to take a lot of stuff from home, including a sofa which was so helpful.

Now let’s bring it back.

I have some exciting news to share with you all. It’s out with the old and in with the new! Now some of you aren’t going to believe my luck! I won on Mecca Bingo! Just a little disclaimer before I go on, I am not telling anyone to go and start gambling, it’s all down to personal choice. I am not in any way telling anyone to go and play Bingo. I just got very, very, VERY lucky! I am simply explaining how I was able to purchase the things I have.

I have always loved going to play bingo, don’t ask me why haha. I just love it. However, I decided to have a little go on Mecca Bingo a few weeks ago. Now please don’t ask me how but I won over £700!?! CRAZY I KNOW! This came at such a perfect time, I was able to buy everything I wanted to get for my flat. I thought it would be a nice idea to share with you some bits that I got so you can see how things have changed since this post.

The first thing I purchased was a new TV. Oh my gosh, I needed a new TV so badly. The quality on my old one just wasn’t great at all. I knew I wanted to get a smart TV, this was so it would be easier for me to watch YouTube videos. Me and Elliott ended up taking a trip to Curry’s, well 2 trips to Curry’s as they didn’t have the TV I wanted in stock at the first store. I ended up going with a JVC 43″ 4K Ultra HD TV (the majority of the specs go over my head, but it is a pretty decent TV). I was over the moon with this first purchase!

Now it was time for IKEA! I was so excited all week for this trip. I did go a little overboard but who doesn’t do that in IKEA? More so with the little bits and bobs. In regards to furniture I picked up a chest of drawers for my bedroom and a cute little fur rug. I then also picked up this unit for my lounge. I absolutely love it! I didn’t plan on getting this particular one. However, this one is bigger so I am more than happy with it. It is the KALLAX Shelving Unit, I went with white to match the other furniture throughout my flat.

This fits so well with my living room! I picked up 4 of the little boxes to go with the unit as my flat has literally no storage which was becoming a big struggle.

I love this little plaque on top of my unit, I picked it up from the Range. True isn’t it haha?!

In regards to the other bits I have on the unit, I may keep it like this or at some point add a few more storage boxes. However, for now I am happy with the cute little pictures and plants/cactuses that I have going on. I picked up both the plants and cactuses from IKEA as well.

This beautiful clock was from the Range, I picked it up when I first moved in. The lamp is also from IKEA, I think that this lamp is so cool. I had to put it together though which got a little confusing but so worth it! You can take a look at the lamp here.

Now for the main event. My new SOFA! I am so excited about this. As you may have seen in my previous post, I had a little leather two seater sofa. I mean it was a recliner sofa which I loved. However, I love corner sofas. I was torn between getting a crushed velvet corner sofa and a fabric cord sofa. In the end I went for this amazing black fabric cord sofa. It is so comfy compared to what I had before and I am so lucky to have been able to get it.

Of course I had to pick up some autumnal cushions from Ikea, I think they look pretty cute & contrast well together. I picked up 2 new cushions and then just got 3 new cushion covers. Due to the lack of storage I thought it would be smarter to just buy seasonal covers rather than the whole cushion. Smart I know!

Overall, I am super happy with how it has turned out so far. There’s still bits that I want to add. I still need to get my pictures up on the wall. However, considering I have managed to do all this from a few games on bingo!? I still can’t believe it. I don’t have any plans on playing again anytime soon. Pretty sure my lucky streak has probably expired by now!

Please do let me know if you like these little flat updates as I will continue to do them every so often when I make little changes. I do really enjoy these types of blog posts myself as I get so much inspiration from them.

However, for now guys I will leave it here, thank you as always for reading! I’ll be back soon.
