Monthly Round Up – April 2019

Here we are already writing the monthly round up for April. I feel like whenever I start these posts I’m always banging on about quickly the year is going! Surely I can’t be the only one who thinks this though? It is going pretty fast though isn’t it. It feels like it was only yesterday that I was writing my monthly round up for March!

LIFE

Life! Well last month was a bit of a rollercoaster if I’m honest. Especially towards the end of April, I was really struggling with my mental health. It’s not something I have really spoken about much, on here anyway. I don’t really know how to explain how I was feeling other than a bit crap. I’m pretty sure this is down to the pill I was on (I stopped taking it towards the end of April). For some reason I was just getting SOOO emotional over nothing! I felt really sad and low so I’m buzzing for it to get out my system so I can feel happier again!

All in all April has been pretty good overall. Apart from the few crappy feelings! Elliott stayed round for a good week or so which I loved. I’m always so much happier when he’s round! Although I do have my little moody moments which I’m sure he would agree with haha. We had a lovely date night the other week, we played crazy golf at Mulligans (I ended up losing after we recounted the score card… typical) and we went to the arcade!

BEAUTY

My skin took a little turn for the worst (I think it was because of the pill) last month which was really bloody annoying! After it started to clear up I was left with lots of blemishes. Now I hate blemishes because my foundation never looks as flawless as I would like it to. With that being said I popped into Superdrug and picked up the Bioré Charcoal Anti-Blemish Cleanser this little beauty is only £5.99 which is super affordable in my opinion. My skin has been SO much better since using this! Honestly, it’s unreal! It’s not only refreshing but my blemishes are becoming less visible day by day. LIFE SAVER!

BITS & BOBS

I love this little bits and bobs section as it’s just full of all my random bits that don’t really fall under a specific category. First one being, Spotify! I have a love hate relationship with this app. This is because I only have the free version so I am overloaded with ads which gets so annoying. Especially when I’m singing my heart out to a great playlist! The only reason why I’m being tight and not paying for premium is because I already pay for Apple Music!

Let me know in the comments, which one do you prefer to use? I like to use Apple Music for when I just want to blast one of my favourite songs. Then I use Spotify to listen to my playlists. There is a BANGING 2000’s R&B playlist which I couldn’t stop listening to last month. You can check it out here if that’s your vibe.

NETFLIX FAVES

While everyone has been literally loosing the plot over GoT, I have been enjoying a few series on Netflix. I have started watching Line of Duty from the beginning because it seemed like my kinda show. I have done pretty well so far to avoid any spoilers about the new series which I’m pretty proud about. I’m currently on series 2 and from what I have gathered it’s all about uncovering crooked cops! Please correct me if I’m wrong… so far I am loving it though.

The second series that I have just actually finished is the Bodyguard. It’s a 6 part series on Netflix and MY GOD! I wish there were more seasons for me to binge watch on the sofa! I don’t want to give anything away because it’s honestly crazy! However, if crime shows, terrorist attack investigating, police/secret service shows and shows with more plot twists than I can count is your thing… YOU WILL LOVE IT!

ONLINE FAVES

This is my favourite part of the monthly round up’s because I get to share with you lovely lot who I have been loving lately! I think it’s so important to share and give props to those who inspire me and who’s content I’m always excited to see!

So this beauty was one of my absolute faves on Instagram throughout April. Jade (@curiousjade) She is such a positive, kind person who is just full of happiness which literally beams through her feed! Recently back from her jolly’s (I’m so jealous of her tan guys!) so as you can imagine her feed is poppin’ right now. Please go and show this girl some love, she deserves it!

Last but by NO means least, another favourite of mine throughout April was Lauren (@itslaurenvictoria). She’s just an absolute beauty! Her feed inspires me with the clean images, bright colours and the positivity she shares. I love her blogging blog posts with tips and tricks to get organised, how to stop messing about when needing to get sh*t done (I’m terrible for this). Again, make sure you go and check out Lauren’s feed and show her lots of love!

Please do check out Jade’s blog and Lauren’s blog if you get a minute after reading this! They are both such lovely girls and work so hard when creating content!

I hope you enjoyed another monthly round up! I will be back with another in June (my bday month… ohh yeah!) to give you a round up of what I enjoyed/got up to in May! Let me know in the comments or DM/Tweet me and let me know what one of your favourite things was during April!
