Who am I?
My website address is: https://www.ellamaybury.com.
What personal data I collect and why I collect it?
If you choose to comment on my blog then I will receive information about you in the form of your name and email address. Without commenting I have access to your gender, location and age. This is due to my use of Google Analytics (more information to follow).
When you kindly leave comments on my blog I collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to my blog, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
I keep contact form submissions for a certain period, so that I can get back to you, particularly if it is regarding a collaboration, but I do not use the information submitted through them for marketing purposes, or to automatically sign you up for my email subscription service.
If you leave a comment on my blog you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
Embedded content from other websites
Posts on my blog may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Who I share your data with?
I do not share your data with any third-party organisations. The only time another person/organisation will see any information on the viewers of my blog is when I am sharing my analytics and the demographic of my audience with any potential collaborators or brands.
How long I retain your data?
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data?
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data I hold about you, including any data you have provided to me. You can also request that I erase any personal data I hold about you. This does not include any data I am obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where I send your data?
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Demographics including you, but not your personal information, may be shown to prospective collaborators.
