I thought I would switch up my skincare routine now that my skin is in a better place. Before switching to this routine I was following my skincare routine for problem skin. You can go and check out the products I used for that here. However I thought it would be best to try something that’s a little less harsh on my skin.
So that being said you can see I have stripped it right back to basics. All in all I use 4 products on a daily basis. The fourth being the Skin Kissed Facial Serum (you can see my thoughts on that product & how I use it here).
This is the first product I will use in my routine. Yes it’s literally a bar of soap. I know of a few people who use just a bar of soap as “face wash/cleanser”. I am really loving this at the moment. I also loved the fact I got two bars of soap for £1… yes £1! It really is so simple and easy to use. Plus it makes my skin feel so clean afterwards and it’s not harsh either. I know that using soap like this as a face wash can dry out your skin. However I do naturally have combination/oily skin, I think if I had dry skin I probably wouldn’t use this product.
My next step is toner. The Nivea Purifying Toner! I have loved this product for so many years. It really is one of those throwback skincare products haha. This toner is perfect for my skin type. It’s ideally for combination/oily skin. I use this after I have washed my face. I just pop a little bit on a cotton pad and run it over my face. It is so refreshing and it also removes any makeup I may have missed.
Now as I have mentioned a number of times before, my skin does break out easily. I wanted to have a product in my skincare routine that still has “spot fighting” elements to it. I love the simple products so much. I think they are just such a great brand. This moisturiser is from their spotless skin range. It helps prevent breakouts while also helping clear blemishes. This moisturiser has kept my skin hydrated and it really has made my blemishes less visible.
After I have used these three products I then use the Skin Kissed Facial Serum. I only use one drop of this serum and that’s enough for my entire face. I tend to follow this routine in the morning and in the evening.
I am really liking this routine at the minute and my skin seems to be as well haha. All of these products you can get hold of from Superdrug or Boots.
If you do decide to test any of these out, please do let me know what you think! I would love to know what you think.
