Valentine’s Day Glam Look

I thought I would try something a little different in this post. If you know me or have read my blog you’ll know how much I love makeup. Especially if it’s pink, rose gold or glittery for that matter. Anyway the point is I thought I would show you my Valentine’s Day Glam look and of course it will be pink, rose gold AND include glitter! That’s pretty fitting though for Valentine’s Day though isn’t it?

Now this look I tend to do a lot! I don’t always intend to do it but before you know it I’m adding glitter and pink eyeshadow and we’re off! Does anyone else do that? Intend to do a “subtle” look and end up with a full on “night time glam, glittery, beaming highlight, full coverage foundation” look because I know I do. The good thing is that this look is perfect for Valentine’s Day so we have an excuse.

Let’s start with the eyes

I don’t know about anyone else but if I am doing a heavy eye look I will always do my eyebrows first. I’ll carve them out with my P.Louise base, prep the lid and then go in with my eyeshadow. For this look I use the Morphe Dare To Create eyeshadow palette (if you want to see my thoughts on this you can check that out here). I love this palette for this look because of the bright pink shade. I tend to use the orange-ish shades as a transition colour first. Then I will deepen up my crease using the bright pink shade and maybe add a little bit of the darker pink in the outer corner.

Once I have got the eyeshadow in place I will take some of my P.Louise base and cut my crease. Then I will add my NYX Glitter Primer ready for the best part… GLITTER! Now for this look I went with my Barry M Glitter Rush pot in the shade Rose Quartz. This is probably my favourite part of the entire look!

Now it’s time for the base

Lately I haven’t been using a primer, purely because I ran out and I’m too lazy to go right now to get one lol. Anyway, ignoring that I will go in with the Mac Studio Fix foundation and a little drop of the LA Girl Pro Full Coverage if I have my tan on. Add some of my Revolution concealer (you can see what this little gem is all about here).

I don’t feel like I do that much with my base (I am sure those who get ready with me will beg to differ.. oops). If I am doing a glam look I will use some cream contour and go in with powder over the top. Add my favourite highlight which is the Becca Champagne Pop… ofc! and a little bit of pink blush. I have to use a setting powder to keep everything in place! Especially with how oily my skin can get at times. I am currently using the RCMA No Colour Powder which I LOVE!

Then last but not least I will add the last few finishing touches. I always leave my eyeliner till last to avoid any powder falling onto it. You will always see me with a wing. It’s just my favourite thing and I feel it pulls the look together. Then I’ll add my lashes, I love the Pink Goat lashes in the style Reem, they are so fluffy! Pop on a bit of lip liner & a nude liquid lipstick (whichever one takes my fancy, I am always changing) and job’s a good’un! We are finally ready!

I hope you enjoyed this style of post, I am trying to switch things up a little bit rather than doing just reviews of makeup products. Please do let me know what you think in the comments below! Also let me know what your go to look would be for Valentine’s Day, I would love to know!
