What’s On My Reading List.

I used to love reading so much when I was younger. The amount of books I had was crazy and then I got a phone and before you know it I couldn’t sit there for more than 10 minutes without checking my phone and opening Instagram. I decided it was time for me to put down my phone and get into reading. I took a trip to Waterstones and picked up some books that I have seen floating around and thought I would give them a read.

Gail Honeyman – Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine

I have seen this book everywhere and heard amazing things about it. This book has won numerous awards and is supposed to be very endearing and a pretty funny book while also being very thought-provoking. I have started reading this book but only recently and so far I am really enjoying it.

Sophie Kinsella – Surprise Me

Now this book again I have heard good things about. I have heard that this book is a pretty funny book. It’s supposedly very heart-warming as well. It’s about a happily married couple who have been together 10 years. They believe they know each other inside and out until someone mentions something to them and they start questioning whether they know each other well at all. Could you just imagine that happening?! I couldn’t think of anything worse!

Jennifer Niven – All The Bright Places

Again this book is one that I have seen in the “book charts” is that a thing? Well yeah haha. It’s a really cute love story between two teenagers who find each other by chance and the story of them coming together. This book touches on tackling the serious issues around mental health illnesses which I think is so important. Definitely excited to read this book.

Judy Blume – It’s Not The End Of The World/ Bubbler/ Are You There God It’s Me Margaret

Now these three books are the ones that I have already read. This was going back a fair few years though. It was my stepmom that suggested this Author to me as she had read these books herself when she was younger. I absolutely loved them and I thought I would go back and read them again now that I am older. These books again touch on some really important subjects for teenage girls.

I feel like I really am starting to find my feet again and get back into a routine! Which feels amazing btw. I am going out more and seeing my blogging pals more (as you may have read about in my last post), reading more and just a whole lot more productive!

You can probably tell the kind of books that I tend to go for, the typical girly kind of books but I must say I am very excited to read all of them. If you have any good suggestions that you think I would like please do let me know down below. I would love to have a look. Whether it’s books of this genre or a different kind let me know!

Great post – those look like some nice books to read. I recently just finished Just the Funny Parts by Nell Scovell, and it was super good… Definitely would recommend. 🙂
